A Commitment to Quality Childcare
At St. Teresa of Calcutta Child Care Center, we participate in Iowa Quality for Kids (IQ4K®), Iowa’s child care quality rating and improvement system. IQ4K® provides child care programs with a framework for strengthening the quality of care they provide to children and families.
What Is IQ4K®?
Iowa Quality for Kids (IQ4K®) is Iowa’s child care quality rating and improvement system. The program helps child care providers assess their practices, strengthen the quality of their programs, and continually look for ways to improve.
IQ4K® uses a five-level system to recognize quality improvement in child care programs. As programs progress through the levels, they work toward meeting additional quality standards and strengthening their practices.
For families, IQ4K® provides another way to learn about the quality improvement efforts taking place within participating child care programs.
What Does IQ4K® Focus On?
Practices that help provide a safe and healthy environment for children.
Creating spaces and experiences that support children's development and learning.
Supporting knowledgeable, prepared child care professionals.
Providing experiences that support children's growth and development.
Building positive relationships and communication with families.
Our Commitment to Quality
Our participation in IQ4K® is part of our commitment to continually improving the care we provide. We are working toward the highest level of the IQ4K® program and remain focused on providing quality care for children and families.
